These two cast bronze gryphons were created in 2018 by Deran Wright under private commission from the Lawrence family. For more than 40 years, Deran Wright has brought imagination to life through sculpture, from the ultra-realistic to the fantastic. Through the medium of bronze sculpture Wright explores symbolism, icons, myths, and legends. Iconic images of heroes, dragons, green men, fairies, leprechauns, monsters, and hobgoblins run deep through humanity’s collective psyche.  We surround ourselves with powerful sculptural symbols that inspire and motivate us, and restore our connection to our humanity. Selected collections include the White House Rose Garden, Old Parkland, Harlan Crow Family, the Town of Highland Park, Texas, and the Will Rogers Coliseum.
