Published in The New Yorker in 1999, dog in restaurant asks waiter if homework is fresh. Shanahan (1957-present) has been cartooning for over 30 years. He started in the eighties as the unofficial cartoonist for the United States Tennis Association, thanks to a recommendation from his friend Mark McEnroe. His arrest in 2020 on pornography charges ended his career.
