CARRS OF SHEFFIELD STERLING SILVER TABLEWARE

Elegant simplicity is presented in this stunning pattern, originally designed by Hester Bateman who assumed her family silverware business when her husband died in 1760 and became one of the most prominent silversmiths of the time.  This design was inspired by intricate strings of pearls and Bead remains one of the most popular patterns we sell today. Carrs' process is similar to the process Hester would have used.  Each piece of silver cutlery is hand crafted in the firm's factory in Sheffield, England by Carrs' master silversmiths.  We acquired this collection in 1992.
