This photograph was acquired from legendary surfing archivist and film producer Jack McCoy ('Tubular Swells' in 1975; 'Deeper Shade of Blue' in 2011).
Jack’s filmmaking, his relentless search of beauty in the sea, the natural world and his affinity to connect to people, has allowed him to collaborate with the best surfers and musicians of our time to capture some of the greatest moments in surfing history. His archive not only includes his own unique collection of films and footage but historic footage and images like the one presented here.
