BERLIN WALL

In December of 1989, Gary flew to Berlin to be part of history. On an evening troubled with light snow and persistent police patrols, he took this photo and, using a hammer and chisel he bought from a local hardware store, removed these pieces from the wall before joining fellow revelers atop it, drinking champagne and celebrating one of the most momentous events of the twentieth century.
